All India Association For Differently Abled
The All India Association For Differently Abled (AIADA) is a national voluntary organisation established on 3 December 2014, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, with the objective of promoting the rights, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
AIADA was formed with the conviction that every person, irrespective of the nature of their disability, is entitled to equality, accessibility, opportunity and participation in all aspects of life. The organisation works towards creating an inclusive society where persons with disabilities are empowered to exercise their rights, contribute meaningfully to their communities and participate fully in the nation's social, educational, cultural and economic development.
While AIADA initially devoted particular attention to disability groups that historically received comparatively limited public visibility — including autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, specific learning disabilities and psychosocial disabilities — its work has evolved to encompass all disability categories recognised under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Today, AIADA continues to work towards strengthening disability inclusion through awareness, advocacy, collaboration and constructive engagement with individuals, professionals, public institutions and civil society organisations.
Every individual is entitled to equal recognition, equal opportunity and equal protection under the law.
Every person deserves to be treated with respect, compassion and dignity irrespective of disability.
Physical, digital and communication environments should be designed so that everyone can participate independently.
An inclusive society benefits not only persons with disabilities but the community as a whole.
Persons with disabilities should be active participants in decisions that affect their lives and communities.
Every individual should have the opportunity to live independently and make informed choices.
AIADA operates as an independent voluntary organisation committed to advancing disability rights through ethical practices, transparency, and responsible public engagement.
Its initiatives are guided strictly by the organisation's governing objectives, constitutional framework, and commitment to serving the interests of persons with disabilities across India.
